The New Verdict Announced By Lusaka High Court Upsets Dr. Mahtani And Zambia

The case of Portland Cement Zambia has been running for almost a decade without any conclusion. It is for the legal takeover of the bank. The case was registered by Dr. Rajan Mahtani, a noted businessman, entrepreneur and social work. He is also known for his charitable activities. Dr. Rajan Mahtani has remained a successful businessman since the start of his entrepreneurial journey. Some of his companies such as Finance Bank Zambia, Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments have not been reached greats heights in terms of revenue, earnings and profitability, but have also established their name as institutions for the common people of Zambia, helping them in many different ways. Furthermore, his companies outside of Zambia such as across United Kingdom and his international contacts have helped him in bringing significant foreign investments within Zambia, further improving the nation’s economy. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is also famous for his clean and honest image and always looking out to help friends and those in need.

Portland Cement Case shocking verdict

It was therefore shocking when claims were made about him taking over a company illegally, when the truth is other way round. Dr. Rajan Mahtani launched the case at the Lusaka High Court as he did not want to resort to illegal practices such as using goons or other ways to reclaim his factory. Even though he knew that the legal path will be difficult and long considering the current state of the legal and government system, he always stayed in the right path. However, it is true that those who are truthful and honest have to suffer the most. It has been a decade since the case was registered at the court.

Even after this time, the final judgment did not provide peace to anyone. The final verdict was given against Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s claims, even though almost all evidences submitted by him pointed otherwise. As such, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has now appealed to the ‘higher court of Zambia’
