Yes, it is true. In the case between Simaata & Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Dr. Mahtani has won the case. Dr. Rajan Mahtani with Finance Bank has been fighting this case for a long time. The issue started when Simaata, even after signing a confidentiality agreement with FBZ, published private documents. Simaata testified against Dr. Mahtani & Finance Bank at various courts. He also made some serious allegations against Dr. Mahtani & FBZ which were based on false data. This resulted in breaching the agreement for which he was found guilty in the Supreme Court of Zambia.
Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been facing defamatory campaigns for a long time. These campaigns and negative news are nothing but figment of imaginations of his conspirators and those who are jealous of his growing popularity and success. We all know that Zambia Reports, one of the most notorious news channels in Zambia, has been the front-runner in publishing defamatory news against Dr.Rajan Mahtani as well as associations related to him. However, the news portal has never published any good or praiseworthy news of him. As a result, we can clearly see that when the news of Dr. Rajan Mahtani’s win against Simaata came into limelight, the news channel to a backseat and has not published any news related to this. It can be easily understood that Zambia Reports, which has always supported the conspirators of Dr. Mahtani, will never publish any good news related to him.
The Supreme Court’s final judgement supported Dr. Mahtani’s case. Various clauses of the signed agreement were indeed breached. The court also supported the fact that testifying against someone publicly or spreading negative personal opinion against any individual without any evidence is a grave misconduct. As a result, Simaata has been asked to pay a sum for breaking the contract and also warnings for not imitating same mistakes in future as the agreement is still binding. Any violation in future will attract greater penalties.
Hopefully this incident will teach the conspirators a lesson and they will think twice before putting baseless allegations against Dr. Mahtani.
