Ventriglias loot of Zambezi Portland Cement, go unnoticed

The current situation in Zambia is a perfect example of how things work for the Italian Mafias, aka the Ventriglia Family. Factors such as law, respect and obligations are just words with no meaning for them. As per the latest development under the case of Zambezi Portland Cement, it was observed that the Honourable Judge Flavia Chishimba refused to allow Finsbury Investments to appoint an official liquidator for starting the process of dissolving the ZPC.

In May 2015, Finsbury Investments had proposed Ital Terrazzo Limited to dissolve the cement plant as it was subject to constant litigation between the parties. Nevertheless, the same proposal was bluntly ignored by the Mafia family and they instead chose the other option to availing the illegal route. Through forgery and duplicity, ITL has now generated title deeds of the factory and leased the same to Astrea Investments. Additionally, about 43 trucks of the factory has been shifted to another company named as Miloto Transport. Needless to say, both these companies are owned by the Ventriglia family and it is obvious that they are looking forward to channelize all the assets of the factory through this route.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani

Being a true Zambian, Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finsbury Investment have calmly accepted the decision of the Court. Unlike Ventriglias, they have no interest in expressing anger or saying filthy words regarding the decision. However, one questions which continues to strike the local public is why was loot not stopped? Even though the ITL admits that assets of ZPC have been channelized to bogus companies such as Miloto Transport and Astrea Investments there has been no action against the same.

Irrespective of what the Court says, the truth cannot remain hidden. ITL has been constantly playing with the assets of Zambezi Portland Cement and it is the locals and economy of Zambia who have become sufferers.
