Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, noted business tycoon rom Zambia and Africa, recently received the prestigious ‘Best of Africa’ award’. For two decades, the (FIN) Foreign Investment Network under the partnership with United Nations, United Kingdom and Forbes have been providing FDIs (foreign direct investments) across African nations. This partnership is focussed towards transforming the current African narrative and to fulfil these objectives, the firm has organized more than 40 international business and investment events across these emerging markets. FIN focusses on fields like agriculture, oil & gas, metallurgical, telecommunication, infrastructure, engineering as well as maritime industries for project assessment, financing as well as risk analysis.

One of the critical events by FIN-Forbes partnership is the annual roundtable conference which takes place during (UNGA) United Nations General Assembly conferences, held annually at NYC. However, this years roundtable conference was restricted and occurred as an online event via YouTube medium. However, the importance of this event remained same which was showcased by the various honorary speakers and delegates who took part in sharing their views and thoughts on leadership and philanthropy for African development.

Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was not only a honorary speaker at the event, he was also presented with the Forbes ‘Entrepreneur of the Year’ 2021 award for his significant philanthropic, business and charitable contributions towards the development and prosperity of the Zambian society. The Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards hold significant importance for Dr. Rajan Mahtani as well as all other recipients as the awardees are selected after significant time-period of thorough verification and intense research by Forbes as well as FIN. The awards were presented by the Forbes President- Customs Solutions, Mark Furlong. Just like Dr. Mahtani, several other business personalities and entrepreneurs received awards across several categories. Some of these recipients included Kwame Bedialo, Sam Matekane, Leo S Ekeh, Ken Sharpe, Mahmood Ahmadu, Clavar Gatete, Wendy Ackerman & Paul Adefarasin.
