Recently, Zambia Reports has published another article which clearly states their intent. The article claims that their personal source has informed them that the Chairman of Mahtani Group of Companies, Dr. Rajan Mahtani had tried to bribe the Government officials with USD $ 1 million in return for his passport which was taken away from him.
As a matter of fact, the articles surfaced just two days after Dr. Mahtani had filed an application with the Zambian High Court under cause no. 2015/HP/1093 against the Inspector General of Police and DPP. A noticeable factor in this action is that Dr. Mahtani has filed this application against the aforesaid parties because they had violated Article 12 and 22 Zambian Constitution. So, for an educated person like Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, it is not difficult to get his passport back through the right resources. Moreover, paying a sum like USD $ 1 million is almost insanity as the amount is mammoth.
To add further, Zambia Reports also mentioned that the medical reports which were produced as an evidence that Dr. Mahtani was ill are also fake. It is sad to realize how people and their thinking can change with time and greed for money. It is absolutely shameful on the part of Zambia Reports to publish such malicious article and defame an eminent personality just for the sake of money.
