Dr. Rajan Mahtani has once again been defamed by Zambia Reports and this time the claim is such that it will make everyone laugh instead for feeling angry. According to a recent publication in Zambia Reports, the conspirators are confidently saying that Dr. Mahtani has been funding the alliance between DF and UPND with a view to overthrow PF from power. The claim also includes a section where our ‘storyteller’, Evans Mulenga, says that Dr. Mahtani has also been financing certain Member of Parliaments and Cabinet Members of Patriotic Font. To put in a nutshell, ZR wants to claim that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani has been financing the whole political system in Zambia and is trying to run his own Government.
Now what kind of sanity will promote this type of article? Being a businessman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is interested in developing opportunities for the Mahtani Group of Companies and the employment for the locals. His job is to make sure that his company moves on from strength to strength, but at the moment ZR is trying to give this story a different direction. His latest contribution is in form of investment in Bio-plant which would be developing in Luapula Province and not in some political party.
It appears that it has become absolutely impossible for Zambia Reports to comprehend the fact that Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is not a politician, but a businessman. Unlike the financiers of Zambia Reports, he has no interest in bagging bundles of notes through unethical means. His hard work has given him success throughout the years and he will continue to follow the same path till his last breath. If Zambia Reports really wants to make some sense and be a part of a genuine journalism then it should stop beating around the bush and bring out the truth about Zambezi Portland Cement factory.
