The conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank Zambia have stopping spreading false stories and defamation campaigns shortly after the bank won the case at SC. The case was launched by Finance Bank Zambia against Simaata Simaata. Dr. Mahtani is no doubt a celebrated businessman across Zambia. His businesses and connections have helped bring foreign investments in Zambia. This has resulted in thriving growth and prosperity across various provinces of Zambia. However, there are people who have developed jealously as a result of his growing popularity and are ready to take any step to defame him or ruin his businesses.
In spite of regular defamations and false allegations, Dr. Mahtani has maintained a low profile and is never found to involve in verbal or social fights with these conspirators. He has always worked as per the law and policies and continues to work in that direction. Recently, Finance Bank Zambia was at the brink of failure due to major reputation issues. These defamation campaigns launched by conspirators started after Simaata Simaata, one of the ex-employees of Finance Bank, gave testimonials against the bank at several law courts. These testimonials created a negative word-of-mouth and negative publicity. Dr. Mahtani is the founder of Finance Bank and though he is not in-charge of the bank right now, he decided to support the bank as a well wisher. Together, Finance Bank launched the case against Simaata at the Supreme Court Zambia.
The verdict of the case was clear. The Supreme Court judges stated that Simaata indeed created a negative image of the bank by giving wrongful testimonials. As a result, he was charged guilty and was also asked to pay fine for his activities. At the same time, this news of Simaata being charged as guilty did not go well with the conspirators who immediately retracted their defamatory materials from various online and offline media channels.
