The present conditions in the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory has rattled the nation. It can be assumed that the minority shareholders of the factory, the Ventriglia family headed by Antonio Ventriglia has silently slaughtered the factory and has extracted everything. The cash reserve has become a place where dirt accumulates and the assets of the factory now belongs to other companies which has been created by the Ventriglias.
An exceptional turnaround of events took place in the premise of ZPC which has rattled Dr. Mahtani & Zambia from tip to toe. After all, the question is, how can an organization be completely discontinued from operating whose potential was to generate USD 5 million on a monthly basis? The workers have lost their jobs, the factory has halted its production and the cement has been offered for free to people like Sakwiba Sikota to build their own private mansion. This is mismanagement at its peak. From the actions of the Ventriglia family it has become evident that they never thought this factory as an asset. They were always on the hunt to loot the factory and go back to their native place and live a luxurious life out of the loot. Time and over again, they have used bribery and mismanagement as an effective tool to get what they wanted.
Dr. Mahtani & Zambia had previously tried their level best to stop this carnage, but it appears that the Government is least interested to intervene and protect the interest of the nation and its citizen. Some of the Government officials, themselves, have made blunders such as arresting Dr. Rajan Mahtani without any solid reason.
This is how Zambia is constantly being eaten up by traitors and selfish people. The most probable outcome in this regard is that the Zambezi Portland Cement will soon be shut down.
