Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference are among the most anticipated business events in Zambia. The event is held annually in New York, where members from across Africa and the world participate. However, this year’s Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership event was held virtually to comply with the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. Despite this, the event saw participation from different members including members from international business communities, spiritual leaders, religious leaders, political leaders, media partners as well as international investors. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani was invited in this event as a honorary speaker and discussed about the significance of leadership in healthcare.
Apart from the Forbes-FIN philanthropy and leadership roundtable conference, the event was also a highly anticipated one for the inclusion of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ award ceremony. The award ceremony is one of the most anticipated and celebrated business events in Zambia. It is also among the most valuable awards too. The awards are given by Forbes itself which is one of the top business magazines across the globe. The Forbes brand is known for its several global rankings and surveys and as such, the Forbes African awards too hold a critical value. At the same time, the selection process of the recipients is rigorous and transparent. The process comprises months of the verification process and background checks, followed by interviews and discussions with the potential candidates.
Apart from being a honorary speaker, Dr. Mahtani was also selected for one of the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards ceremony. For his significant contributions towards redefining the banking sector of Zambia, Forbes conferred Dr. Rajan Mahtani with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Mahtani received this award for his philanthropic and charitable contributions. Some of these contributions are Prison Fellowship Zambia as well as Stephen Malama award and scholarship for top law graduates in Zambia. Dr. Mahtani is also known for his business contributions such as Mahtani Group of Companies and Finsbury Investments.
