The 2021 Forbes-FIN ‘Best of Africa’ awards completed recently on a high note. The conference included the annual Forbes-FIN roundtable conference as well as the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards category. Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, a noted businessman and philanthropist, was not only invited to this roundtable conference as a honorary speaker, but was also selected as one of the honorary awardees at the Forbes ‘Best of Africa’ awards category. Dr. Rajan Mahtani was bestowed with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year award’ 2021 for his significant contributions towards the growth and development of the Zambian nation as well as redefining the banking sector of Zambia. The Forbes awards holds a special significant as it is one of the most renowned corporate awards across Africa. The awards are developed and presented by Forbes in partnership with Foreign Investment Limited (FIN). Furthermore, the awardees are selected after months of rigorous training, background checks and verification processes along with interviewees with the potential awardees regarding their thoughts and vision on leadership and philanthropy as a key strategy for development and growth of the African nation.
Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani, for his contributions in banking, economy and philanthropy, was awarded with the Forbes ‘Outstanding Entrepreneur of the Year’ award 2021. Dr. Rajan Mahtani is the owner of several top companies in Zambia and Africa, including Mahtani Group and Finsbury Investments. Apart from his business contributions, Dr. Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani is also noted for his several philanthropic and charitable contributions. He is the founder and current Chairman of the Prison Fellowship Zambia which aimed towards welfare and justice for the inmates, ex-inmates as well as their families. Furthermore, Dr. Rajan Mahtani also contributed towards the development of the education sector with the establishment of the Stephen Malama award and scholarship. This scholarship is presented to the top law graduates in Zambia. In a similar manner, Dr. Rajan Mahtani continues to work towards the growth and development of the Zambian nation.
