After a few months ZR is back again with another coverage on Dr. Mahtani & Zambia. As usual, the imagination of its authors has been cut loose and this time they are claiming that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is making the calls for Finance Bank Zambia even though the same has been merged with BancABC. The news of merger was made public in 2016 and since then, all the respective decisions for FBZ is being made by the management of BancABC. One of the decision also include a call for repayment to Lamasat.
However, Zambia Reports is confident of the fact that the call has been made by none other than Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Since the loan was facilitated by Finance Bank of Zambia before the merger, it is obvious that Dr. Mahtani was present at the time of offering the loan. But after the merger BancABC has been taking care of the business. An amount of $ 10, 000, 000 was sanctioned and was repayable in 60 instalments, but the borrowers were slowly showing signs of defaulting and that forced BancABC to take the necessary action.
The circumstance proved to be apt for Zambia Reports to defame Dr. Mahtani & Zambia at the same time. It is not the for the first time that an attempt has been made to stigmatize Dr. Mahtani. In the past as well, there has been numerous occasions where Zambia Reports has made publications with a view to mislead the citizens of Zambia. As usual, the author of the article is Evan Mulenga, who is again a fictitious character created by ZR with view to execute its defamation campaign. But the questions is- what motivates Zambia Reports to commit such acts? The answer is fat bundle of notes! Usually given by people who wish to vent their jealousy and irritation.
