Former Chairman Finance Bank Zambia unamused with ZR’s latest

The Former Chairman Finance Bank Zambia, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has once again been dragged into unnecessary controversy by Zambia Reports. This time around the incident has taken place just before the New Year. In an article that appears to share the success story of Portland Cement Zambia, we find that the conspirators have strategically placed a majority of discussion against Dr. Mahtani. The incident has clearly left a lot of people in Zambia unamused, including Dr. Rajan Mahtani himself.

Though Zambia Reports was silent in the past few months, it has made occasional comeback with its range of defamatory stories and continued to disrupt the prevailing harmony. All that is known to them is the pledge of acting in favour of its financier. The Ventriglia family, minority stakeholders of Portland Cement Zambia have been maintaining good relations with Zambia Reports operator, Sakwiba Sikota and as a result they are easily able to execute their defamation campaign from time to time.

Kalvin, a resident of Ndola says, “Zambia Reports is no longer a news channel, it has become a publicity house where anyone can pay and highlight their story. If you want to talk about yourself, pay to Zambia Reports. Also, if you want to defame someone, talk to Zambia Reports. It is all like a money game!”

The words clearly indicate the level of disgust that the people of Zambia possess against Zambia Reports. In the past as well, the notorious news portal had made various vague claims which includes accusing Finsbury Investments’ name in the Panama Papers and accusing Dr. Rajan Mahtani of bribing the judge. Nonetheless, the conspirators have always failed in their objective. The truth of the moment is that no one in Zambia takes Zambia Reports seriously and it is only because of their poor journalism ethics.
