When it comes to executing defamation campaigns, Zambia Reports is second to none. Former Finance Bank Zambia Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been on the receiving end from Zambia Reports and the carnage has been going on for almost a decade now. Not many are aware of this fact that the Ventriglia family (owner of Ital Terrazzo Limited) have very good relation with the operator of Zambia Reports, Sakwiba Sikota. The relationship is so good that the former also agreed to offer free cement for the latter when it came to building a mansion for the Sikota family.
The campaign that Zambia Reports is running against Dr. Rajan Mahtani is simply a token of appreciation that Sakwiba Sikota is offering to the Ventriglia family. Whatever the Italian Mafias desire certainly becomes an order for ZR and the same is followed up by immediate action. The Former Finance Bank Zambia Chairman, Dr. Mahtani was forced to vacate his seat in 2015 because of the constant taunts that ZR was delivering through its channel. Not only the reputation of Dr. Rajan Mahtani was in stake, but also the name of Finance Bank Zambia was being ruined.
Finally Finance Bank Zambia was merged with BancABC. However, Dr. Rajan Mahtani is still facing a series of attacks based on imaginative stories and absurd claims. In such context, the only question that arises is – what the Government is doing? Why has the Government not acted for so long? Well, there are some officials in the present system who share ‘good relations’ with the owners of ITL and hence, saves them every time they are about to face legal consequences. To sum up, it can be regarded that the former Finance Bank Zambia Chairman has been fighting single-handedly and is trying his level best to keep Portland Cement Zambia out of the hands of ITL.
