His actions have allowed him to have a mammoth support and the locals are well aware of the fact that Dr. Mahtani can do no wrong with their motherland or any person.
It is obvious that the conspirators would have first tried to influence Dr. Mahtani with some money, but later on when they realized that it was impossible to turn the intent of the honest man, they resorted to defame him and tried crushing his reputation in public with the aid of malicious attempts.
