Former Finance Bank Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani released & granted a Judicial Review

The Former Finance Bank Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has been released from jail on June 6, 2015 as there were insufficient evidences and arguments to support that fact that the accused had committed criminal offenses in 2006.

According to confirmed reports, Dr. Mahtani was seen signing a document named as ‘Release and Compromise; where it is specifically mentioned that all criminal allegations have now been ‘permanently closed’ and the same will not be available for file any charges against the name of the Zambian businessman.

The people who had influenced the Government authorities to take this step are the Ventriglia family. Their objective was to eliminate Dr. Rajan Mahtani such that they can easily continue to loot the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. Sadly, their plan was short-lived and now they will be soon facing charges based on corruption and ill-treatment of employees.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani considers Zambia as his motherland and has been working hard to ensure that development continues to take place in Zambia. He is the favourite of millions and has established high standards for safeguarding the interest of the employees and ensuring peace in operations.

Attached below is a publication which had disclosed the release of Dr. Mahtani.

Finance Bank Zambia has a new Chairman as Ventriglias target Dr. Rajan Mahtani

The Finance Bank of Zambia has a new Chairman in form of Mr. William Boli Nyirenda as the former Chairman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has stepped down. The news came shortly after it was disclosed that Dr. Mahtani was going to be arrested for an offense in 2012 which was previously closed.

Since the Ventriglia family understood that Dr. Rajan Mahtani was going to fight for justice by bring the illegal takeover of ZPC to the notice of the High Court, they decided to fund the Government portals and reopen a case which was previously marked as ‘permanently closed’ by the Office of the Attorney General.

Dr Rajan Mahtani

Kaizer Zulu, an integral part of Presidential Political Affairs has played an important role in getting Dr. Mahtani arrested and safeguarding the Ventriglia family from the clutches of law. This is perhaps a repeat telecast of a shameful act by the Ventriglia family in 2012 where they had got Dr. Mahtani arrested with the help of Rupiah Banda.

However, the arrest of Dr. Rajan Mahtani is not the final victory of the ‘Italian Mafias’. There have been instances where Dr. Mahtani has come back with a strong reply and has safeguarded the interest of his nation with the help of law and truth. The Ventriglia family can rejoice foe this moment, but they will have to face the legal consequences of taking over the ZPC illegally and spreading corruption in Zambia.

**Update**

Dr. Rajan Mahtani was released from the police custody few days after the infamous arrest took place. On June 25 2015, Dr. Mahtani was successful in getting a judicial review from the High Court of Lusaka to challenge his arrest.

Vice Chairman of Prison Fellowship Zambia praises Dr. Mahtani

On one side where the funded newspaper portals are making constant efforts to defame Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the Vice Chairman of Prison Fellowship Zambia, Bishop Enocent Silwamba has praised the Finance Bank Chairman for his valuable contribution.

Dr Rajan Mahtani

In November 2014, PFZ had hosted a board meeting where the contribution made by Dr. Mahtani was praised. Over the years, the Prison Fellowship Zambia has received numerous contributions from Dr. Rajan Mahtani and it has made it easier for the management body to implement their development plans and inspire the prisoners to work for a better cause.

This is not the first time that Dr. Mahtani has made a noticeable contribution to any welfare organization. There are numerous instances where Dr. Mahtani has shown that he has the potential to be the pioneer of Zambia and offer numerous financial contribution to uplift the life of the locals.

Dr. Rajan Mahtani presents a solution for Zambezi Portland Cement

On behalf of Finsbury Investments, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has pleaded the High Court of Lusaka to wind up the Zambezi Portland Cement. The Finance Bank Chairman was forced to take this action because the minority shareholder of the ZPC, the Ventriglia family had previously taken over the management of the company by force and had started their malpractices.

A petition was filed in the High Court of Lusaka on May 22, 2015 (Friday) by Dr. Rajan Mahtani which pleaded that winding up of ZPC was ‘Just and Equitable’. The petition also included serious concern for the workers of the ZPC who are constantly suffering in the hands of the Ventriglias.

Though the winding up process will include the involvement of a mediator, it has been expressively stated that the mediator would be appointed on the preference of both the parties. The step has been taken with a view to ensure that the proceeding takes place in an unbiased manner and no party is put to undue advantage. Below is a copy of the petition which was filed under cause number 2015/HPC/0225.

Zambezi Portland Cement Factory- Inside Story

Over the past 6 weeks, the major news spreading across Zambia is of the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory based in Ndola. As per reports, there is a constant rivalry and war between the Ventriglias family and the Finsbury Investments over the factory’s ownership. As of now, Finsbury Investments are the majority stakeholders with 58 % stake. On the other hand, the Ventriglias are minority stake holders. The Finsbury Investments is owned by Dr. Rajan Mahtani thus making them the real owners of the factory. However, the Ventriglias are claiming that share-transfer certificates are forged with false signatures.

As per official PACRA records, ZPC’s legal owners are indeed Finsbury Investments. However, by taking help from some local goons and money, the Ventriglia family forcefully took over the cement factory’s management during wee hours of 7th April 2015 and since then they are publishing various articles with the help of Zambia Reports about their legitimacy over the factory. They have also claimed that Dr. Mahtani does not have any say in the factory’s management.

Insider reports also suggested that the employees were yet to receive April’s salary. They have also complained of the degrading working conditions and ill-treatment from the new managers of the factory. Their situation is pathetic and becoming worse every day. And the one and only culprit- – The Ventriglias!

**Update**

The factory is in still under the clutch of the Ventriglia family and corruption still continues to take place in the factory through offshore transfers and employee mistreatment.

The Ventriglias implement media power to supress Dr. Rajan Mahtani

The Ventriglias, or more commonly known as the ‘Italian Mafia’ have implemented a new strategy to claim that they are the actual owners of the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory. They have strategically used the power of media and published new articles which claims that Dr. Rajan Mahtani had previously forged the signature of Antonio Ventriglia and Manuela Sebastiani to obtain the ownership of ZPC.

However, the truth in this regard is known to all and still people are being forced to believe that the Ventriglia family holds 100% ownership of the ZPC. As per the records of PACRA, it has been confirmed that Finsbury Investments, headed by Dr. Mahtani hold the actual ownership of the factory with a stake of 58% and the remaining 42% stake is with the Ventriglias.

The power of media houses such as Zambia Reports have supported the Ventriglia family because they get heavily funded by them. Since the deportation has been lifted through political influence, it has been all about the Ventriglia family and their dominance. They have not only managed to remove Finsbury Investments by force, but have also forfeited the salary of the existing workers for the month of April. Nevertheless, the media continue to relate their presence in the ZPC with noble causes such as increment of salary by 10% for all workers.

Undetermined future of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory, Dr. Mahtani worried about workers

The future of the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory is currently standing at a point where its future looks dark and miserable. Since its takeover in early April, the Ventriglias have only managed to exact money from the office’s cash box and ensured that their personal account remains funded. By citing false references and scripted stories, they were also able to get an injunction issued by the High Court of Ndola that makes them the legitimate owner of the factory.

However, the truth is surfacing as the workers of the factory are revealing the horrific treatment which they are receiving in the hands of the Ventriglias. According to the existing employees of the ZPC, they have been not been paid salary for the month of April. When asked for the same, they were asked to recover the same from Dr. Rajan Mahtani, Chairman of Finance Bank Zambia.

The only hope which the workers hold as of now is the order of the Ndola High Court which was obtained on April 29 2015 by Dr. Rajan Mahtani which discharges the injunction which was previously obtained by the Ventriglias. Though, the same is now being contested by Zambia Reports as a forged document, the claiming party has forgot that it also carries the stamp of the High Court of Ndola.

Zambezi Portland Cement

Recently, Labor Day was celebrated all over the world, sadly, the employees of ZPC were unable to have their share of fun because they were not paid for the month of April.

Finsbury Investments- The true owners of Zambezi Portland Cement Factory- 2015

The time has finally come when the people of Zambia would be introduced to the truth. With numerous false claims and scripted stories, the Ventriglias tried their level best to manipulate the Zambian political environment and news portals. However, it is time to unveil the truth with the help of some concrete evidence. Here is a copy from PACRA which highlights the current directors of the ZPC:

In the above image, it is clear that legally Finsbury Investments holds a majority of shares for Zambezi Portland Cement and hence, would be considered as the lawful owner. It was shameful on account of the Ventriglias to publish wrong information and mislead the public that the Finsbury Investment had dropped its claim as the owners.

A primary target of the Ventriglias was Dr. Rajan Mahtani, the Chairperson of the Mahtani Group of Companies. Zambia Reports, in its quest to defame Dr. Mahtani, went to the extent of claiming that the accused had evaded taxes amounting to $ 100 Million. However, an inquiry disclosed that the no such incident happened with ZRA.

The Ventriglias steal Zambezi Portland Cement, disrespects Zambia High Court’s Injunction- 2015

Irrespective of an injunction by the High Court of Zambia, the Ventriglias invaded the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory at early morning and caused panic among 700 employees who were present in the factory at the time of invasion. The Ventriglias family were minority shareholders in the Zambezi Portland Cement Factory and owned 42% of the shares. The remaining 58% shares were legally with Finsbury Investments, who were also actively involved in the management level of the ZPC.

Dr Rajan Lekhraj Mahtani

After the demise of ex-President of Zambia, Michael Sata, the Ventriglias found a good opportunity to crawl their way back into Zambia and regain the ownership of ZPC through conspiracy. They first started a partnership with ‘Zambia Reports’ by funding them. In return, Zambia Reports would write imaginative stories against Dr. Rajan Mahtani. With this partnership they created a favorable situation for themselves as on one hand, they kept defaming Dr. Mahtani and on the other hand, they continued to bribe officials and gain their support.

A recent claim from Zambia Reports has highlighted that ZPC was a defaulter and escaped taxes payable to ZRA (Zambia Revenue Authority). However, these claims have been dismissed on account of being fake.

It should be reminded to all the supporters of the Ventriglias that they are the same person who were once deported because they were a threat to peace of Zambia. It is shocking to find that Zambia Reports has preferred money over Zambia’s peace.

The Dignity of Mahtani Group of Companies remains preserved, Bishop Mambo Resigns- 2015

It is time to seal the long string of controversies which the conspirators were hatching from the day Bishop Mambo had commented on President Edgar Lungu. With two opinions in place, the conspirators had found a pool of opportunities whereby they could mock and ridicule Dr. Rajan Mahtani and the Mahtani Group of Companies.

dr-rajan mahtani

On March 18, 2015. Bishop Mambo has resigned from the post of the Director of Mahtani Group of Companies. With the resignation all controversies and allegation have now come to an end as Mambo is no longer associated with Dr. Rajan Mahtani or the Mahtani Group of Companies. The event has ensured that the words of Bishop Mambo are no longer considered as the words on behalf of Mahtani Group of Companies.

The resignation came from self-consent as Mambo wanted to vacate his position because he had realized that his actions were harming the company and moreover, with the dedication of the conspirators it was becoming for him to express something on a personal level. Every time he spoke to ventilate his personal thoughts, it was published under the name of Mahtani Group of Companies.

However, now that this ordeal is over, Bishop Mambo is free to express his own vision. The Mahtani Group of Companies wishes Mambo all the best for his future.
