Being an honest businessman, Dr. Rajan Mahtani has always found himself becoming frequent target of various conspirators. These conspirators come from various facets. Some harbour pure jealousy for his success and popularity. Others are those who have attempted to make deals with Dr. Mahtani and have failed miserably. No matter the reason, these conspirators have only one objective- ruin the business and reputation of Dr. Mahtani. Never the less, Dr. Mahtani has never been bothered about these conspiracies and almost all of them are fake and created just to gain momentary attention.
There are also people who have the habit of breaking promises or involving in unlawful practices. One of them is Simaata Simaata, an open critic of Finance Bank & Dr. Mahtani and also ex-employee of the bank. After he was disbarred from the bank for unethical practices, he signed an agreement with the bank to keep sensitive documents and matters related to the bank intact. He was also paid a good sum for signing the agreement and happily agreed to do so. However, Simaata went ahead and released many of these sensitive statements to newspapers. Not only that, he also accused Dr. Mahtani and Finance Bank of fraud and money laundering without any hard evidence or factual data. This incident resulted in reputational disturbances for the bank and the customers of the bank started questioning. Simaata also gave testimonials across various courts against the Bank which was further detrimental for its business. As a result, Finance Bank sued Simaata for violating agreement in the Supreme Court of Zambia. And the verdict of the court case is known to all. Simaata has been found guilty by the judges and will be paying a fine for his activities. Furthermore, the court will also reimburse all expenses incurred by appellants (Dr. Rajan Mahtani and Finance Bank).
The verdict is a good lesson for all conspirators of Dr. Rajan Mahtani. They should understand now that he is not going to sit quietly now. Any misconduct or misrepresentation of his business will result in trouble for these conspirators.
