Detailed analysis of the claim made by Zambia Reports reveals that Dr. Rajan Mahtani is innocent and has been dragged into this controversy with utmost foolishness. The Panama Papers contain the name of Finsbury Investments for sure, but the same organization is no way related to Dr. Rajan Mahtani. Rather it belongs to another entity named as Semely Conseil & Gestion SA.
Through investigation, it was learnt that there is no connection between the two parties and Dr. Rajan Mahtani owns Finsbury Investment, who is the majority shareholder of the Portland Cement Zambia. The one which is mentioned in the Panama Papers has been struck off in 1999 and does not exists in the present date. The shocking part of this story is that the publication has been made under the nose of Sakwiba Sikota. The person who rates himself as one of the finest lawyers in Zambia has committed a mistake which even a layman would have avoided.
